Yesterday, Mark and I went to the French Quarter, which is pretty much the Times Square of New Orleans. I haven't seen so many antique stores on the same block since I was in a ritzy mall in Boca Raton, Florida. The street music is certainly more appealing here than in Times Square however. The French quarter is exactly like it's named, French. It's a remnant of the influence that the French had over the city. The street signs are on the sides of buildings on the corners, very similar to European cities. Today was a fun packed day, and I should post about it soon, we left the city limits and saw something completely new.
